I'm new to this forum but i've been around others awhile.. I'd say your voice is battling in the bridgearea, like "should I release or should I close the cords". It's a way how mix goes first, a shaky and careful coordination. But if you are just seeking the "basic" connection, you should try doing it lighter, and not going into light mix you seem to be now.. Try to do it with pure headvoice.. Replace the mum's with "wow"("o" as in "load"), that's really soft way, and you should try to do it really soft and maybe abit dopey(lower larynx). that'll erase at least some of the "has to close hard" feeling. And maybe you should do it lower in volume. That's abit loud to do, unless you'r trying to go into the mix. Start off really light and soft, that'll let you know If you're in the right direction.

But that shakyness seems like you're on the nice path going into you mix. That's how it is at first.. So I guess there's no a "huge problem", just a minor thing to balance out.. I hope!

edit: I realized there may be abit of larynx going higher as you ascend. It flips to headvoice abit. the dopiness helps there also. And lower volume..
