Make the sound very tiny and a little chesty. When you can do sounds in that range you'll be in whistle! I know because i did whistle a couple of times.

I know Joshie said his voice isn't whistly until the F6 or so, which is the F above the female high C. I'd think you probably could do the notes around E5 whistly, but that you don't have to.

Hah, umm... I don't know how he does it. He didn't say. It might be that he does it with a lot of "chest" in it. I don't know, though.

I'm not sure. My vocal folds do it without me really trying to do anything special. For me, personally, if I bend over as if I'm touching my toes on the lip rolls, it helps me to get past the E5.

Yes, I can make it "whistly" around F5 (I haven't tried the E5, but I will), and when I really just want to sing out (full-out), I don't have the "whistly" sound until about F6. I do it by maximizing my chest and approaching it correctly. If I mess one little thing up, I end up with the "air flow" that you have.

Timberlake and Maroon5 approach falsetto almost like I do. My wife tells me that I can imitate them better than most other groups (and some Country, which I'm best with). Timberlake either uses a chest, or a falsetto. OR on the higher notes (above high C), it feels to me he constricts SLIGHTLY. It's a controlled level of constriction, to get the sound he wants. That's how I hear it. Maroon5 doesn't do that. Then again, I'm not sure they sing above the E5.

They don't sing the whole song in that, just some nicely timed high head tones. Mika uses head too? He's very.....o.0
