the interesting thing about this post is I now truly believe exactly what strike 123 says. When you find your mix there isn't a question in your mind about
it. What I thought was my mix before was just an edgy head voice dropped down to blend with my chest voice. It isn't a mix. Once you find your mix it
should develop rather fast. I am singing up to a G4 with a speech level volume in what sounds like my chest voice, but has a colorful ring to it (because my
head voice is so strong). I am very excited to record this soon and show you guys what I am talking about. The mix voice holds a "light" compression.
In my experience the more compression you give to your voice the more chest voice you will pull up. I hope everyone knows this stuff already, but if not I hope
this can be helpful.
