I don't know about anything in regards to the exercises you have to do when singing and the tongue placement that should be accompanied to complete those exercises.

I can only say though, that the tongue, when singing in mixed voice (or whatever you guys call it here - middle voice?) should be of a saddle shape. The side of the tongues curl up naturally, especially at the back of the tongue, which helps the twang to be kept in place.

My only personal recommendation is this, don't think about the tongue placement (and things like breathe support)! Forget it all. Just sing/vocalize, and your tongue should naturally be in the right position if you're going in the right direction. If the tongue is coming up when you're singing, you will find it hard to sing anyways (often it is a straining feeling). So what I'm trying to say is, if everything is right, then it probably is. If something feels wrong, then there probably is a problem somewhere. I believe, a healthy technique will naturally make other things balanced, so don't worry too much about the little things. I never did/do when I was/am training. Hope this is helpful.
