Wow! Best part of the dream was excellent, and your english was pretty good! How can I sound like that lol...are you a tenor?
I listened to more of your clips and "remember when it rained" was amazing. How can I sing relatively quiet volume and sound powerful like you did? I've struggled to find that... Edit: OK, this is NOT fair hahaha. I heard your "high mix" clip and your mix goes up to G#5?!? Thats as high as I go with pure head voice....I truly wonder if I'll ever be able to go that high as a baritone. I hate this foghorn voice lol.

Thanks guys.
Regarding your questions, yes, I'm a tenor. This is all about release, nothing else. You must allow your vocal cords to connect but without straining and pushing. This is maybe easy to write but a bit harder to do lol:) Anyway, all you need is to practice daily as I'm doing for over a year now. You will discover one day that you dont need so much effort to sing with power. With proper coordination and pressure your vocal cords will be able zip up whenever you need it:). Another thing is vibrato which always comes naturally when you're technically correct. One of the most important things is also a deep breathing (to support you while singing). It was G#5? If you're a baritone you're a lucky guy:) Most of us are tenors so you're quite unique! Now I know that SS (SLS) is one of the greatest thing that I've discover in my live and I'm really gratefull for that! I practice now 2h/day and sometimes even more and feel no any fatique in my throat. Anyway I'm still looking the proper way to sing really high with that big chesty sound. Ok, here's some classic - Nessun Dorma. I messed up the words and my spelling is probably worse than my english haha but whatever... http://media.putfile.com/Nessun-Dorma-38 These highest notes sounds weak a bit but today I've discovered something completely new when approaching them! I cannot describe it but for the first time I was able to go so high and still have some control over them (well mostly of them) I will try tommorow again and we will see if that was only one lucky day or some kind of turningpoint hehe.

You sound quite good, Radzio!
I liked the first two clips; but, I will
say that your phrasing in the Nessun Dorma clip didn't seem very good to me.

Radzio, I listened to like 20 of your clips and they blew me away. Hey, do you msn messenger or e-mail? I do have some questions.
1) Are you a leggiero tenor 2) Did you actually have any vocal problems before SS 3) What disc are you currently on YOU ROCK |

Thank you Confused for such kind words.
1) Are you a leggiero tenor I've never wondered about it but I think that I'm just a regular tenor. Anyway my normal speaking voice is rather high so probably this is the reason that I could go high even without any training. 2) Did you actually have any vocal problems before SS Of course I had...Even now after 1year of practice with SS I'm not free of the problems . When obserwing my throat while singing there are still some unnecessary movements but I dont know what kind of movements are allowed in fact (I need to ask an SLS teacher or any singing teacher what I'm still doing wrong because I can't figure it myself at the current stage) 3) What disc are you currently on I've spent ALOT of time working with CD4. I would say that until you're not familiar with all these excrercices from disk 4 you shouldn't go any higher. For me, familiar means you can really feel and hear that your tone quality and balance is almost the same as Brett (is it Brett showing all those excercices or someone else hehe?) Now I'm skipping between CD4,6,8,12....I'm a bit unorganized lol. Were u always able to go up to E6 on liprolls using SS? It looks like I was able but you cannot compare the way I was approaching it at the begining to my current level. You can clearly hear the breathy tone as well as a lot of strain in the older audio clip. Belive me, you have to spend a couple of months to be able to do all these exercices correctly. There's of course a different coordination needed when going trough the bridges. |
