Hey guys! I just had a great lesson/talk with Jesse on the phone for an hour and a half. It was great and that would be an understatement. He could demonstrate everything and saw what I was lacking in my voice immediately! Just wanted to share with everyone that I had a truly AMAZING first lesson last night with Jesse. It far exceeded my expectations and I can honestly say that for first time ever I am excited about the potential of my voice which I've struggled with for years. I was thinking of taking a few webcam lessons with Jesse but I was just wondering if what we do is recorded on cd ?.. to work on further progress for scales and whatnot. And also anyone who took them for the first time what is there to expect??

All right, I have had three lessons with Jesse already. The first were like an introduction to the "mix." The best thing I got from the third lesson were vocal slides which felt great at first. Over time, I think I started either doing them incorrectly or taking them up too high (maybe both). I was using the "no, no" scale on Disc 5 to use them for my "ah" vocal slides. My voice began to feel irritated.

I had a lesson with Jesse this past Saturday.
I am SOLD. If you had doubts about whether this guy can do what he did on his recordings LIVE it's a done deal. His voice is awesome! Not only is his voice awesome but he took my voice to a level that was hard for me to get to. IN ONE LESSON PEOPLE!!! ONE LESSON!!!!

I've been doing slides you told me to do, and it has been working GREATLY (to me at least).

1. Do slide with a nasily, squeezing "ahh" sound
2. Do slide same way except with a dopey low larynx
3. Narrow vowels around E4 while adding that hiccupy "huh" breath pressure and put in more squeeze to sustain.

I don't know, but this has been working for me. Anything else I should do?

I finally had a voice lesson with Jesse and...WOW. I really don't have any words to say about Jesse as a vocal coach, he is just awesome. Now I now what Ben was talking about when he said, "It's even better to be taught by him! You guys have no idea how good and fun was the lesson. Well only the people that has been taught by him lol. Hey everybody.

There have been a few threads on here about how peoples lessons with Jesse have gone, and I thought Id chime in and tell about my experiences as well so far. Ive been reading this forum for a long time, great info on the voice here.

Last Saturday in my webcam-lesson Jesse really had me explode in terms of development, I was singing up to a D5 with lots of power in mix and without any strain, kind of nice for a baritone lol. And a nice thing is Jesse told me that...

I had my first ever lesson (in general and also with Jesse) today... he explained a lot of things to me, and he demonstrated a lot of things to me... Hello, I'm planning on taking some lessons from Jesse. But, I do have a few questions.

1. Does Jesse do phone lessons?
2. Can Jesse teach singers who have trouble with their chest voice and help create balance to use a coordinated chest voice to the E, F, F# above Middle C area?
3. Can Jesse teach singers to sing up to the high notes - high B, Bb, C with a "full-sounding" chesty tone? Or can he only teach this to tenors?
4. How much does Jesse charge per hour for...

..and it went great! He had me singing with more power in my upper range then I have ever had before. I feel great :-).
I recorded this media.putfile.com/Living-on-a-prayer-62 straight after the lesson and couldn't believe how much more power I was getting out of the high notes compared to before. I know I croack a bit in the second verse but hey, not gonna be perfect just yet...

i think that what is very important is the whole breathing part!
so many of us here don`t get the resolts we want becasue we use either too much/less air than needed..if you can enclude excercise...more explanations abou it it will be great.

i think i am not the only one who noticed this big disadventage of singign success.
